Message from the competition Jury,

With deepest regret, we got the message that all the Jury members of the competition and Sony Music Foundation`s dear friend Mr. Maurice Bourgue has passed away.

He is our old friend and a wonderful musician which everyone in the world knows.  He was serving so many times as a Jury member and was kind of an institution in our competition here, which is so important for the world of oboists.  We feel this with our hearts for his wife and family. And we are really missing Maurice with all his wonderful humor and his artistic intensity and  with his nice personality as a part of our family at the Sony International Oboe Competition.

On behalf of all members of the jury,
Hansjörg Schellenberger
