The International Oboe Competition of Japan has been held every three years until the previous edition in 2018.
Like the rest of the world, we now face this unprecedented COVID-19 Pandemic which makes it truly difficult to plan our next Oboe Competition and invite valuable players from around the world without knowing when the pandemic may settle down.
Under these circumstances, therefore, we regret to inform that we have decided not to hold our Oboe Competition in 2021.

For the timing of the next Oboe Competition after 2021, we will consider all relevant matters and inform you via the official website accordingly.

We appreciate your kind understanding during these unexpected times, and hope to share music again with all of you soon.
