Required Repertoire Archives
1st Round
The following are the possible test pieces. The piece to be performed will be announced on the day of the Competition:
- R.Schumann : 3 Romanzen for Oboe and Piano op.94
- B.Britten : 6 Metamorphoses after Ovid op.49:Nr.2 “Thaeton” and Nr.4 “Bacchus”
- A.Vivaldi : Sonata for Oboe in c-minor
2nd Round
The following three pieces should be performed:
- W.A.Mozart : Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra in C-Major KV.314 (285d)
- Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) L.Berio Sequenza VII
(b) A.Castiglioni : Alef Komposition
(c) Isang Yun : Piri for Oboe solo
(d) M.Shinohara : Reflexion
- Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) H.Dutilleux : Sonate pour Hautbois et Piano
(b) F.Poulenc: Sonate pour Hautbois et Piano
(c) D.Milhaud: Sonatine
(d) C.Saint-Saens: Sonata for Oboe and Piano in D-Major op.166
(e) A.Pasculli: Concerto sopra motive dell`opera “La Favorita” di Donizetti
Final Round
The following two pieces should be performed:
- R.Strauss Concerto for Oboe
- J.S.Bach Sonata in g-minor BWV.1030b
N.B
- With the exception of unaccompanied pieces, all pieces are to be accompanied by Piano.
