Preliminary Screening (recorded audition)
The following three pieces should be performed and recorded:
- A.Vivaldi : Sonata No.6 in g-minor from “IIpastor fido” 3rd and 4th movements
- R.Schumann : 3 Romanzen for Oboe and Piano op.94 Nr.1
- B.Britten : 6 Metamorphoses after Ovid op.49 Nr.1 “Pan”
1st Round
The following three pieces should be performed:
- C.Saint-Saens : Sonata for Oboe and Piano in D-Major op.166 2nd and 3rd movements
- J.Haydn : Concerto in C-Major 1st movement
*Should be performed from memory - B.Britten : 6 Metamorphoses after Ovid op.49 Nr.4 “Bacchus” and Nr.5 “Narcissus”
2nd Round
The following four pieces should be performed:
- W.A.Mozart : Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra in C-Major KV.314 (285d)
- Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) J.S.Bach : Sonata for Oboe solo (original: Flute) in g-minor BWV.1020
(b) G.F.Handel : Sonata in e-minor (New Nova Edition)
(c) A.Vivaldi : Sonata for Oboe in c-minor
(d) G.Ph.Telemann : Trio Sonata in E-flat Major (Sikorski) - Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) H.Dutilleux : Sonate pour Hautbois et Piano
(b) F.Poulenc : Sonate pour Hautbois et Piano
(c) D.Milhaud : Sonatine
(d) A.Ponchielli : Capriccio
(e) J.W.Kalliwoda : Morceau de Salon - Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) L.Berio : Sequenza VII
(b) Isang Yun : Piri for Oboe solo
(c) K.Stockhausen : In Freundschaft
(d) A.Castiglioni : Alef Komposition
(e) M.Shinohara : Reflexion
Final Round
The following two pieces should be performed:
- R.Strauss : Concerto for Oboe
*Should be performed from memory - J.S.Bach : Sonata in g-minor BWV.1030b

- Of the above pieces, concerti (marked with※) are to be played from memory.
With the exception of unaccompanied pieces, all pieces are to be accompanied by piano. However, pieces 2 (a)〜(d) in the 2nd Preliminary Stage and piece (b) in the Final Stage may be accompanied by cembalo.
