Preliminary Screening (recorded audition)
The following two pieces should be performed and recorded:
- G.Ph.Telemann : 12 fantasies for Oboe solo (original: Flute) Nr.12
*The Telemann piece should be performed with all the repeats.
- C.Schumann : 3 Romanzen for oboe and piano (original: Violin) op.22 Nr.3
1st Round
The following two pieces should be performed:
- Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) J.S.Bach : Sonata in g-minor BWV.1030b
*The Bach piece should be performed with repeats except the last movement.
(b) F.Couperin : Concert royale Nr.3 (Fuzeau)
*The Couperin piece should be performed with all the repeats.
- Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) R.Schumann : Adagio and Allegro op.70
(b) R.Schumann : 3 Romanzen for Oboe and Piano op.94
(c) R.Schumann : 5 Stucke im Volkston op.102 (violin-version) Nr.2.3.4
2nd Round
The following two pieces should be performed:
- R.Strauss : Concerto for Oboe
*For Strauss piece, it is suggested to perform from memory, although it is not obligatory.
- Choose one from the following pieces:
(a) H.Holliger : Sonata for Oboe solo (2001)
(b) A.Dorati : Cinq pieces pour le Hautbois
(c) Isang Yun : Piri for Oboe solo
Final Round
The following two pieces should be performed:
- W.A.Mozart : Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra in C-Major KV.314 (285d)
(Barenreiter or Henle)
*with Orchestra-accompanyment
*The Mozart piece should be performed from memory.
- T.Takemitsu : Entre-temps for Oboe and String-Quartet
*With String Qurte
